Feature and Follow #2

Feature and Follow Friday is a meme, hosted by Parajunkee's View and Alison Can Read, that gives bloggers the opportunity to meet other bloggers, and gain followers :D

Q: Do your reading habits change based on your mood? Do you read a certain genre if you are feeling depressed or happy?

No, not really. I think I enjoy a book based on my mood. Like, if I'm depressed or heart-broken over some boy, I'll feel super bad if I read a romance novel, especially a contemporary one. If I'm happy, and I read the same book, I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy it more. However, I do pick my readings based on how I'm feeling, so this kind of situation is usually avoided :D

But tell me about you: do your reading habits change based on your mood? Answer in the comments, or leave me a link to your blog! :D

  1. Yay! First comment, hahaha.

I'm not really affected by my mood when I'm choosing books, which is probably really weird...

  3. When choosing books, I suppose I take my mood into account but I tend to read certain genres based on the season. New follower! Happy reading! Come check out my site:

  5. My reading list changes with moods too... just not sure exactly how. Like... if I'm reading a long book that's not very exciting in a certain spot, if I'm in a blah mood I'll re-read something I know is great already. That always helps.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

  6. Hello, stopping by from the hop! New follower.
Here's my site please follow back http://nettesbookshelf.blogspot.com

My mood doesn't reflect on what I read, If I'm feeling mad or sad or something I find it hard to concentrate sometimes.

  8. I tend to plan out which books I am reading next, and being a bit of a control freak, I have to follow it, no matter what. ;) If I'm in a bit of a sour mood though, it can make getting into a book a little more difficult, but it never alters my opinion of the book in the end. If it's a good enough book, it will manage to bring a smile back to my face as has happened several times before. :)

  10. I'm not familiar with this series, but I'm totally intrigued by the mythology behind it. I especially love anything with a kick-butt female! Great review.
